The Food

The north side is known for its great restaurants, and you’ll find great grocery stores here, too. Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, and Fresh Thyme Market are all within 3 miles of 82 Flats. If you’re heading to Trader Joe’s, pop into Penzeys Spices to grab some new spices or to buy a bagged spice to refill a shaker.

When you’re in the mood for some tasty pub fare, take a leisurely stroll to District Tap. If you run out of meal ideas, place an order with Herculean Meal Prep – they’re just around the corner, and they can whip up a big batch of meals for you to freeze and reheat as needed.

Outdoor Fun

From 82 Flats, you can travel about 3 miles west to access The Monon Trail, the mixed-use trail that covers about 27 miles between downtown Indy and the town of Sheridan, in Hamilton County. If you have a mountain bike, check out Town Run Trail – it’s a challenging technical trail through a scenic area, and the trailhead is about 4 miles north of 82 Flats.

When relaxing outdoors is more appealing than a bike ride, take a dip in our saltwater pool and retreat to the cabana to avoid the midday sun.

Easy Commutes

If you work in Carmel, Fishers, or Castleton, 82 Flats is a great home base. Not only are we close to I-465, we’re also between Keystone and Allisonville, which allow for easy travel north and south.

82 Flats at the Crossing is shielded from the noise of 82nd Street. You might even forget you’re in the city, as you walk your dog along the lakeshore.
